On Sunday, Russia's armed forces destroyed four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) over the Bryansk, Smolensk and Tula regions. Over the course of the day, the number of drones shot down rose to 24.

"On November 26, at around 09:30 Moscow time [06:30 GMT], an attempt by the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist attack with UAV-type aircraft (also known as drones) against facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation was prevented.

"The air defense assets in service destroyed four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Bryansk, Smolensk and Tula regions," the ministry detailed.

Russia had earlier reported that it shot down drones over the Moscow region. In addition, "Russian air defense located and destroyed two Ukrainian missiles in the air over the Sea of Azov area," the agency added.

Early Sunday morning, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of eleven and then nine more drones over the territory of the Moscow, Tula, Kaluga and Bryansk regions.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said in a statement on Telegram that there were no casualties in the capital.

Meanwhile, Russian state news agency TASS reported that operations in Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo — all in Moscow — resumed normally after restrictions were put in place earlier in the day.
