This Sunday it was announced that the promotional video of the Única de Cuba campaign won first place in the international awards of the tenth edition of the Asian Microfilm and Art Festival.
This year, more than 100 works were submitted in the competition in Yunnan province, southwest of the country, in 13 competition categories, including feature films, documentaries, animations, civilization, rural revitalization, youth power, among others.
The Cuban Ministry of Tourism's Única video won in the musical microcinema section, along with other films from Turkey and Iran.
The Cuba Única campaign highlights Cubans as the protagonists of the destination and in its various audiovisual materials offers a diversity of portraits and landscapes of the largest of the Antilles, which make it incomparable.
The audiovisual was produced by the Spanish Communication Consultancy Disset Consultors and Mallorca Video and Island Film Cuba collaborated.
Last July, this same video won the Silver Award at the 2023 US International Awards in the United States.
The Minister of Tourism of Cuba in China, Elizabeth Vela, commented that the Única campaign launched this year in that country has positioned itself better and better in the Asian giant.
"It is a video that reflects Cuban culture and its people, whom it places as the main ambassadors of the destination," he added.
Vela explained that Cuba maintains an active participation in Chinese fairs related to the sector where it promotes its safety features and connection with nature, aspects of great interest to Chinese travelers. He recalled that Cuba was included in the first group of countries that the Chinese could visit after the pandemic.
"Before Chinese international tourism fully recovers, the greatest demand will come from travelers with high purchasing power and fully vaccinated, this type of customer will require better service and above all quality," he said.
