Deteriorating weather conditions on Sunday, November 26, led to problems with water supply in some areas of Odessa. In addition, large district boiler houses of the city suspended their work.
This was reported by the local newspaper "Dumskaya" with reference to utilities.
The press service of Infoksvodokanal reported that due to power surges and power outages, pumping equipment turns off every ten minutes and cannot work stably.
"To restore water supply, the vast majority of pumping stations were switched to generators. However, the significant capacity and technological conditions of operation of some pumping stations do not make it possible to use autonomous power sources on them. We expect an improvement in power supply and stabilization of water pressure in the near future," the message says.
Voltage drops or a complete cessation of power supply caused the forced suspension of the operation of large boiler houses in the city.
The municipal enterprise "Heat Supply of the City of Odesa" promises to restart boiler houses after the restoration of a stable power supply.
Recall that on the evening of Sunday, November 26, in the Odessa region, due to snowfalls and powerful winds, 179 settlements are without electricity.
