The spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry concluded his statement by saying: "We reiterate our appreciation for the efforts of our partners in mediation, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States of America, for the joint efforts that removed obstacles to the implementation of the terms of the agreement for today." Hamdan went on, explaining: "The violations were about the entry of trucks, in addition to shooting Palestinians and the rise of martyrs, and currently there are contacts to address the violations and end them." On Friday, the Israeli authorities released 33 Palestinians, 6 women and 8 children, as part of the exchange deal with Hamas, which was brokered by Qatari-Egyptian-American, while Hamas released 5 Israeli women and children, 7 Thais and one Filipino.
