In Lovech and Teteven there will be a runoff, and in the other six municipalities the current mayors won in the first round.

With 100% processed protocols in the battle for Lovech, Valentina Nedyalkova, nominated by GERB – UDF, collected 30.10% of the votes. Against her in a runoff next Sunday faces the candidate of the ITN / Bulgarian Rise coalition Stratsimir Petkov, for whom 19.26% of those who exercised their vote voted.

The next mayor of Teteven municipality will also be elected in a run-off. The current one - Madlena Boyadzhieva from GERB, won the first round with 35.90%, and the second was the former mayor until 2013 Milen Milev, nominated by the Forward Bulgaria Movement. 22.83% voted for him.

The candidates of GERB Ivan Grancharov in Lukovit, Stanimir Petkov in Ugarchin won convincingly in the first round and will continue to govern their municipalities.

In Troyan, Donka Mihaylova, nominated by the BSP, collected nearly 80% and remains mayor for a fourth term.

The independents Nayden Naydenov in Yablanitsa and Krasimir Djonev in Letnitsa also won convincingly in the first round, and for Djonev this will be the seventh mayoral mandate of the municipality.
