Ukrainians may face inflated amounts in gas bills and "extra" cubes due to the fact that meter readings are not submitted on time.

Naftogaz told how they resolved the issue of a client who contacted them due to the accrual of extra cubes for August.

First, the specialists checked the volumes of gas consumed by the client. It turned out that from May to August, she did not submit meter readings, as she temporarily moved with her family from Kyiv to the west of the country.

How are accruals made in such cases?

Accrual is carried out in a calculated way. That is, the volume of gas consumed is determined on the basis of the monthly consumption volume for the same period last year. So, the numbers are different from the actual ones.

What can be done?

In order for the accrued volumes of gas to coincide with the real consumption, it is necessary to submit meter readings on time - from the 28th to the 5th day of each month.

If the client does not temporarily live in the apartment and did not use gas, then the actual unchanged readings should be submitted monthly.
