A couple from Cologne was two minutes late for a bus that crashed in Venice.
Bild writes about it.
Sofia Zaccaria, 23, and Nico von Engelmann, 22, from Cologne, spent their last day of vacation in Venice on Tuesday and wanted to take the bus back to the campsite in Marghera (the continental region of Venice) in the evening. They missed the bus, which literally saved the couple's lives. Their bus fell off the overpass onto the railroad track.

"I get goosebumps when I think about the fact that we could have taken that bus. We definitely saw people on the bus at breakfast. Maybe they were our neighbors in the hotel," says Sofia.
Emine, 31, and Ferhat, 30, from Heidenheim, Germany, were in Venice with their daughter Zara and also wanted to take the bus.
"It was the Champions League, I wanted to watch the game. But we missed the bus. I complained to my wife that I couldn't watch the game because of her," says Ferhat.
Now he is very happy about it. "It's good that my daughter didn't have to go through all this. I just hugged her every few minutes," he adds.
