Vasil Krumov Bozhkov was born on July 29, 1956 in Velingrad. Bozhkov is a Bulgarian businessman who refuses to pay his 500,000 leva bail on charges of money laundering and illegal trade in cultural and historical values.
He wrote on his Facebook page: "Instead of being rewarded for returning a national treasure to Bulgaria - THEY plundered a museum. Instead of being released, THEY want me to pay bail while I'm under house arrest."
According to our legislation, the higher measure of remand from bail is "house arrest", and he already has one imposed that he endures.
He is currently under house arrest with a measure of "restraint" in the case of gambling crimes.
