Ukraineʼs energy facilities will have active and passive protection against Russian questionnaire attacks for the winter period.

This was stated by the head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Suspilne reports.

He stated that Ukrenergo is working in coordination with the government and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"We have several types of protection and Ukrenergo substations, where certain types of protection will be applied for the first time, not only in Ukraine, but also in the world, because no one has ever faced such a level of threat," Kudrytskyi said.

He said he would not disclose details and added that the defense would be active and passive.

"This is comprehensive protection, I will not go into details, but it is both active protection — air defense, and passive protection — engineering fortifications," Kudrytskyi said.

To recap, earlier it was reported that Ukrenergo made a statement about the likelihood of a power outage.

In addition, we previously reported that the head of the Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov, said that Ukraine would not leave new Russian attacks on energy infrastructure unanswered.
