The Electric Union of Cuba reports that yesterday the service was affected by a deficit of generation capacity from 06:10 hours to 07:40 hours in the morning and from 09:17 hours to 01:59 hours in the morning today. The maximum impact on the day was 706 MW at 20:30 hours, coinciding with the peak hour.

The availability of the SEN at 07:00 hours this Wednesday is 2140 MW and the demand 2230 MW. From 05:45 hours in the morning the service began to be affected and it is estimated that the affectations will remain throughout the day.

Unit 5 of the CTE Mariel, units 1 and 3 of CTE Santa Cruz, unit 6 of the CTE Nuevitas and unit 2 of the CTE Felton are out of service due to breakdown. In maintenance, unit 6 of Energás Boca de Jaruco.

Limitations remain in thermal generation (383 MW). In distributed generation, 966 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 158 MW are under maintenance.

For the peak, it is estimated the entry of 20 MW in the distributed generation in engines that are under maintenance and their use is authorized, the entry of 4 motors in the Melones leg with 60 MW, the entry of unit 3 of the CTE Santa Cruz with 55 MW, the entry of unit 6 of the CTE Nuevitas with 85 MW and the recovery of 100 MW of motors in distributed generation.

With this forecast, an availability of 2460 MW is estimated for the peak hour and a maximum demand of 2900 MW, for a deficit of 440 MW; so if the expected conditions are maintained, an affectation of 510 MW is forecast at this time.
