With an official ceremony "first sod" and a blessing of water for health today in Blagoevgrad began the construction of an annex to one of the largest schools in the city - the Seventh Secondary School "Kuzman Shapkarev". The beginning was set three years ago when we applied for a project for the extension of school buildings, said the director of the school Lilia Stoyanova.
She pointed out that the school has 935 students, divided into 40 classes, and the staff numbers over a hundred people.
In order to switch to a one-shift mode, it is important to have a sufficient number of rooms, said Lilia Stoyanova. She added that the school has optimized the admission plan, but this is not enough effort to switch to a one-shift mode. "We believe that this annex would solve many of the problems by accommodating 40 classes in one shift and in the afternoon only the full-time organization of training would remain," the school principal said.
The financing is provided with European funds, the procedures have been carried out, the contractor has been assigned, we already have a building permit and we are starting, said the mayor of Blagoevgrad Ilko Stoyanov. He added that the policy of the municipal leadership is aimed at young people. There is still a need to improve the facilities of the educational institutions being worked on, but "the content is important and I am glad that we have such good schools and teachers," Stoyanov said.
The new annex to the Seventh Secondary School "Kuzman Shapkarev" will have three floors, with three classrooms. It is designed to meet all requirements, said the director of the school.
