The amendments to the Judiciary Act will be rediscussed by MPs during the Legal Committee. These are the texts challenged by a veto by President Rumen Radev.
In them, MPs wrote that within 6 months they must elect an entirely new composition of the Supreme Judicial Council, whose mandate expired last October.
The amendments also provide for the creation of a special system for random selection of the judge, who will investigate the Prosecutor General and his deputies. One of Radev's motives for the veto was that this law does not contribute to an effective reform of the justice system.
This week, MPs will also vote on a draft decision to provide additional military assistance to Ukraine.
