Finance Minister Assen Vassilev was Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism from 12 March to 29 May 2013.

During it, he explained that it is nothing new for the world to report tax evasion.

Vassilev revealed that talks with the relevant business are currently underway. According to him, it is right to see for the budget whether it will have a greater effect if 20% VAT is returned for restaurants or to implement other measures that will be implemented.

Regarding the idea to change the date of the national holiday of Bulgaria, Vassilev replied: "I personally think that May 24 is the most appropriate date for a national holiday of Bulgaria."
