The Electric Union of Cuba reports that yesterday the service was affected by a deficit of generation capacity from 11:26 a.m. to 12:59 p.m., and from 15:43 p.m. to 00:45 a.m. today. The maximum impact on the day was 531 MW at 18:50 p.m., not coinciding with the rush hour.

The availability of the SEN at 07:00 hours this Tuesday is 2100 MW and the demand 2160 MW. From 06:10 hours this morning the service began to be affected, and it is estimated that the effects will remain throughout the day.

Unit 3 of CTE Santa Cruz, unit 6 of CTE Nuevitas and unit 2 of CTE Felton are out of service due to breakdown. In maintenance, unit 6 of Energás Boca de Jaruco and unit 5 of CTE Renté.

Limitations in thermal generation (414 MW) remain. In distributed generation, 963 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 203 MW are under maintenance.

For the peak, the entry of 22 MW in the distributed generation in engines that are under maintenance and their use is authorized, the entry of 4 motors in the Melones leg with 60 MW and the recovery of 100 MW of engines in the distributed generation are estimated.

With this forecast, it is estimated for tonight's peak hour an availability of 2282 MW and a maximum demand of 2900 MW, for a deficit of 618 MW, so if the expected conditions are maintained, an affectation of 688 MW is forecast at this time.
