Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that Ukraine will not use long-range ATACMS missiles, which the United States may soon transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to strike Russian territory.
He said this in an interview with the Spanish newspaper ABC.
"We will not use them (ATACMS - ed.) on the territory of Russia," the NSDC secretary said.
According to him, ATACMS missiles will be used exclusively to protect the territory of Ukraine, as there are agreements with partners on this issue.
ATACMS missiles for Ukraine
The American political scientist said that US President Joe Biden decided politically on the transfer of long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine a long time ago.
The former commander of the US Army in Europe, General Ben Hodges, said that the White House probably decided to transfer a "limited" modification of ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.
