Investigators of the National Police sent to court the case of two Russian soldiers who threatened and raped pregnant women and children with weapons during the occupation of the Kyiv region.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
We are talking about 29-year-old and 32-year-old senior snipers of the rifle company of the 15th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Guards Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District from Samara, who committed sexual violence against 12 local residents during the occupation of the Kyiv region.
Among the victims are a pregnant woman and a five-year-old child
According to the investigation, during the passport check, the criminals purposefully identified the houses in which young women lived, broke into their homes and sexually assaulted them under the threat of firearms.
The occupiers did not care about their age and condition. Among the victims of their actions are a pregnant woman, a five-year-old child and two other minor girls, born in 2004 and 2007.
In March 2023, investigators of the National Police, under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office and operational support of the Security Service of Ukraine, notified the occupiers of suspicion of violating the laws and customs of war, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons and combined with ill-treatment of the civilian population (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation has been completed, the indictment has been sent to court for consideration on the merits. The occupiers face up to 12 years in prison.
