The Russian Embassy in Sofia will take action on the church "St. Nicholas" - the Russian Church in Sofia, in coordination with the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova told TASS.

"All actions with regard to the Russian Church in Sofia will be taken in accordance with the decision of the Russian Orthodox Church. So far, we do not know that Patriarch Kirill has received a letter from Patriarch Neophyte, we do not know the decision of the Russian Orthodox Church," the ambassador said.

The Embassy of Russia in Bulgaria is the official owner of the temple and has the relevant title deed.
