Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel Maria Ivanova Gabriel was born on May 20, 1979 in Gotse Delchev. In 1997 he graduated from the Language School and the Undersecretary and Senior Policy Advisor Derek Choley opened at the State Department in Washington the second session of the Bulgaria-US Strategic Dialogue, the press center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The event takes place three years after the start of the dialogue set in 2020. and only 4 months from the beginning of the term of office of the Denkov-Gabriel cabinet. The aim of the dialogue is to discuss bilateral, regional and global issues of priority importance to both sides.
Deputy Prime Minister Gabriel leads the Bulgarian delegation, in which the Minister of Justice Assoc. Dr. Atanas Slavov, the Minister of Energy Rumen Radev, the Minister of Innovation Milena Stoycheva, the Deputy Ministers – Atanas Zapryanov – of Defence, Ivelina Dundakova – of the Interior and Dr. Georgi Angelov – of Innovation and Growth.
"I would like to thank the United States of America, and the State Department in particular, for hosting this important second session of our bilateral strategic dialogue. In her speech, she outlined the main topics on which the dialogue will be conducted - common approaches to regional and global problems, deepening cooperation in the field of defense and security, expanding cooperation in the economy and energy, protecting democracy and the rule of law, expanding bilateral ties.
