The elimination of the commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, Viktor Sokolov, will have a significant negative impact on the command and control of Russian troops.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk on the air of the telethon.
He recalled that in Russia, conditional Putin does not directly manage the fleet. Fleets are managed by generals who are well aware of the state of their forces and equipment, personnel, how to properly manage them and how to arrange them.
"And now they are losing the person who manages this whole process. And with him his staff, which also manages the fleet. Because you need to understand that this is a fairly large group," says Pletenchuk.
According to him, a large number of middle managers are needed to manage the fleet, who will take care of key processes. But now the main part of this mechanism has become unworkable.
"Yes, tonight they still struck by inertia. But, as I said today, it's like a chicken that runs without a head. She's running, doing something, but she's already dead. Therefore, as of now, of course, they will have corresponding problems with the controllability of troops," says the Navy spokesman.
Recall that on September 22, it became known that the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol was attacked.
Ukraine has officially confirmed that the commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, Viktor Sokolov, and more than 30 officers were killed during the attack on the headquarters in Sevastopol.
Colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Konstantin Mashovets explained that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a new stage of the war with strikes on Crimea.
