In a joint operation carried out by the Rescue and Rescue Unit of the Comandante Pedro Soto Alba nickel factory and the 30th Command of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint), 10 people who were trapped on one side of the Cayo Guam River, in the municipality of Moa, were rescued.

Photojournalist Alexudis Leyet reported on the successful rescue, highlighting the hard work and dedication of the rescue teams involved. Thanks to their timely intervention, these 10 people were able to be brought to safety and away from any danger posed by the growth of the river.

Journalist Yulieska Hernández García, of Moa TV, explained on her Facebook profile that the river had experienced strong growth, which made it difficult for trapped people to cross. Faced with this situation, the intervention of rescue and rescue teams was necessary to guarantee the safety and well-being of those affected.

The rescue was carried out with efficiency and professionalism, demonstrating the capacity and preparedness of the rescuers. Their work was instrumental in overcoming natural obstacles and rescuing people at risk.
