Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president and former minister Om Prakash Rajbhar on Sunday protested against the benefits of reservation for district magistrates and superintendents of police and higher officials and ministers, a constituent of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

"Today, those who have become DM, SP, DIG, DGP and ministers in the country need reservation. He said That Babasaheb Ambedkar had arranged reservation for those who are at the last level.

Akhilesh Yadav inherited the post of Chief Minister

The SBSP chief was addressing a party function in Balrampur district on Sunday. Rajbhar also hit out at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying he had inherited the chief minister's post.

On being made a minister, Rajbhar said, "Sit with your heart and everything will happen."

Rajbhar advocates one nation, one election

Om Prakash Rajbhar, while advocating one country one election, said that a lot of money of the country is spent in elections. He said that there should also be one country and one education.

Rajbhar also protested against BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri's remarks on BSP MP Danish Ali. "We are not in favour of such a statement, such language should not be used," he said.

"An apology has been tendered by senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on the issue, so there is no question now as no one can be hanged," he said.

Referring to the Women's Reservation Bill, he said, "This bill was pending for the last two decades but Modi ji has made a new beginning to implement it."
