New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday invited people, especially university students and young professionals aspiring to pursue further studies, to the G26 University Connect Finale at Bharat Mandapam on September 20. Bharat Mandapam recently hosted the G20 summit. In a LinkedIn post, the Prime Minister said that over the last one year, the G20 University Connect programme has brought the youth of India together as the year-long initiative has proved incredibly satisfying and yielded highly satisfying results. "This initiative has shown the world how our youth have emerged as vibrant cultural ambassadors, forging enduring bonds with the G20 fraternity," he said.
"My young friends, I look forward to your participation in the G26 University Connect Finale on the 20th of this month. Over the past year, G20 University Connect has emerged as a major platform to highlight the priority areas of India's G20 Presidency. I look forward to a lively exchange of views on diverse issues."

"It enabled the youth to learn more about India's G20 Presidency and the subjects we worked on during this period. It ignited a sense of collectiveness towards our planet and prepared our youth to become active builders of a developed India by 2047."
He said that there have been many events under the banner of G20 University Connect initiative and these events have been organized all over India, which have seen wide participation of higher education institutions.
In fact, what initially started as a programme for universities grew exponentially and included schools and colleges, widening the pool of participants, Modi said.
He said the 'Model G20 Meeting' was a particularly noteworthy event where students from 10 countries, including 20 G12 countries, came together to discuss the theme 'Youth for Life'.
"During the special G20 University Connect programme, I look forward to listening to the experiences of our youth power and getting insights from them. His rich journey is an inspiration for the youth of our country. I especially urge all the youth to join me in this unique endeavour."
