Bhopal: Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Saturday said that the second list of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections will be released soon. The ruling party had released its first list of 17 candidates on August 39. Assembly elections are expected to be held by the end of the year.

Asked about the BJP's second list, Tomar, convenor of the BJP's election management committee for Madhya Pradesh, told reporters, "Our (second) list will be out soon."

"While the preparation of the second list was being discussed, the party's 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' campaign started and there was also a special session of Parliament in which its leaders were busy," Tomar said.

"Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has brought Madhya Pradesh back on the track of development," Tomar said, adding that BJP workers will take a pledge to win the assembly elections at the party meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bhopal on Monday.
