The day before, on the morning of September 21, the Russian occupation forces attacked Cherkasy with missiles. They were probably targeting critical infrastructure. However, fragments of downed missiles fell on a hotel in the city center.

The head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Taburets spoke about the completion of the rescue operation on the air of Radio Svoboda.

Probably, Russian forces attacked the city with Kh-101 air-to-ground missiles, which are launched from strategic bombers. A fragment of rockets fell on the hotel the day before.

"With a high probability, the missiles were aimed at energy facilities. There are such substations within the Cherkasy district, so it is likely that the missiles flew there," says the head of the Regional Military Administration.

The rescue operation in the city lasted almost a day. No people were found under the rubble overnight. As a result of the occupiers' attack, 11 people were injured. Six people are in hospital, two of them are in serious condition.

Recall that on the morning of September 21, the aggressor Russia launched a missile attack on Cherkasy. Debris caused disaster in the central part of the city. A hotel was damaged.

It is known that air defense forces shot down four missiles in the Cherkasy region. The Prosecutor General's Office reported that a pre-trial investigation had been launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war.
