Some of the Leopard 1A5 tanks handed over to the Ukrainian military by Denmark have significant malfunctions. They will be repaired abroad.

This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the country, Troels Lund Poulsen.

As it became known, 12 out of 20 tanks handed over to the Ukrainian military have major or minor malfunctions. Ukrainian specialists are currently repairing the equipment. However, German teams are to start repairing them next week, as our country does not yet have trained mechanics to eliminate such defects.

It is also noted that Denmark is sending such equipment to Ukraine within the framework of cooperation with Germany and the Netherlands. Germany is responsible for the restoration of combat vehicles.

It will be recalled that Denmark plans to transfer 45 tanks to the Ukrainian military. We are talking about 30 Leopard-1 and 15 T-72.
