The main task of Ukrainian defenders on the way to the destruction of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation is to minimize all threats coming from the flotilla. Regular air strikes, or even sea-type strikes, against these warships reduce these threats.

This opinion was expressed in an exclusive interview for TSN.ua by the military-political observer of the "Information Resistance" group Oleksandr Kovalenko.

"Today we can say that leveling the potential of the Black Sea Flotilla is one of our main tasks that needs to be accomplished. Because the Russians are using the flotilla, firstly, to strike the territory of Ukraine with Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles. Secondly, it is the creation of danger in the Black Sea," the expert says.

According to him, Russian warships now perform more of the functions of a pirate flotilla and are a threat to civilian and commercial shipping.

"Therefore, our task today is to minimize all threats coming from the Russian Black Sea Flotilla. Regular air strikes or even sea-type strikes on these warships significantly reduce all these threats, forcing the Russians to withdraw their warships as far as possible," Kovalenko said.

"After a while, they will be forced to take them away altogether, for example, to the Caspian Sea through inland waters. I think they will still come to this," the expert summed up.
