Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel Maria Ivanova Gabriel was born on May 20, 1979 in Gotse Delchev. In 1997 she graduated from Linguistics she will lead the Bulgarian government delegation at the Second Session of the Strategic Dialogue between the Republic of Bulgaria and the United States. The session will take place on September 25, 2023 in Washington, D.C.
The Bulgarian delegation includes Assoc. Dr. Atanas Slavov - Minister of Justice, Rumen Radev - Minister of Energy, Milena Stoycheva - Minister of Innovation and Growth, as well as Deputy Ministers - Dr. Georgi Angelov - of Innovation and Growth, Atanas Zapryanov - of Defense and Ivelina Dundakova - of the Interior.
Within the framework of the dialogue, it is envisaged to discuss the following areas: common approaches to regional and global problems, deepening cooperation in the field of defense and security, expanding cooperation in the economy and energy, protecting democracy and the rule of law, expanding bilateral ties.
At the end of the session, Deputy Prime Minister Gabriel will sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Bulgaria and the United States to counter foreign manipulation of information.
