President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with his Brazilian counterpart Lula da Silva in New York.

This is stated in a message on Zelensky's official Telegram page.

The report indicates that a frank and constructive conversation took place between the leaders of Ukraine and Brazil.

"Instructed diplomatic teams to work on the next steps in bilateral relations and efforts to restore peace," the statement said.

It is also indicated that the representative of Brazil will continue to work in meetings on the Peace Formula.

Earlier, it was reported that the Office of the President sharply responded to the Brazilian leader Lula da Silva to his statement that he would not arrest Russian dictator Putin in Brazil.

Later, Lula da Silva changed his mind about Putin's arrest in Brazil.
