President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz in New York.

The Head of State thanked the Chancellor of Germany for the significant long-term support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggressions, noting the recent defense packages provided by Germany and the contribution to strengthening the air defense of our country.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed Olaf Scholz about the situation on the front line and the priority needs of the defense forces of Ukraine. The President noted the importance of further strengthening Ukrainian air defense to protect civilian infrastructure on the eve of winter and the functioning of the "grain corridor".
The Head of State stressed that obtaining additional air defense capacities would strengthen the protection of the Black Sea ports and the historical heritage of Odesa.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed the Chancellor of Germany about the preparations for the next meeting at the level of advisers to discuss the points of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, as well as the Global Peace Summit.
The leaders paid attention to preparations for the international Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will be held in Germany in the summer of 2024.
Earlier, it was reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Russian dictator Putin could end the war unleashed in Ukraine at any time.
