The tripartite meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, reviewed ways to reach a sustainable political solution to the Yemeni crisis, enhance the humanitarian response to the Yemeni people and provide the necessary support to Yemen at the economic level.


The foreign ministers of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the United States stressed the importance of close cooperation between the three countries and Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council to advance UN-led peace efforts.


Sheikh Abdullah praised Saudi Arabia's efforts to reach a permanent ceasefire in Yemen, leading to a comprehensive political settlement of the crisis, reaffirming the UAE's firm approach to standing by the Yemeni people.


For its part, the Saudi Press Agency reported that the meeting also discussed aspects of joint coordination in many regional and international issues, and the importance of supporting all efforts aimed at establishing the foundations of international peace and security.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, Yousef Mana Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States, and Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations.
