The Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced near Verbovo in the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers of the Russian Federation unsuccessfully tried to advance in some areas in this region.

This is stated in a recent report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

- Ukrainian forces conducted offensive operations in the area of the western border of Donetsk and in the east of Zaporizhia regions. In addition, the day before, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out offensive operations in the west of the Zaporozhye region and moved forward. Geolocated footage from 18 September shows that the Ukrainian Defence Forces were advancing west of Verbovo, 18km southeast of Orikhiv.

Meanwhile, Russian occupation forces conducted offensive operations in the western Zaporizhzhia region. However, on September 19, the Russian army did not advance. In turn, Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked near Robotyne.

In addition, American analysts, citing some Ukrainian and Russian sources, noted on September 19 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck two Russian military headquarters in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. The Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that Ukrainian forces struck an unspecified Russian military headquarters near Melitopol in western Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

As reported, the other day, the Russian occupiers attacked the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an attempt to regain positions in the area of Klishchiivka, Andriivka and Robotyne. The invaders also carried out offensive operations in the Maryinka area in the Donetsk region. However, to no avail.
