The SBI employees detained the deputy head of one of the departments of the Sambir District TCC and SP (Lviv region) and a serviceman-driver of this department, who were involved in the beating of a man and illegal detention in the military registration and enlistment office.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation on September 20.

According to preliminary data from law enforcement officers, on September 19, a serviceman-driver of the TCC beat a man in the premises of the military enlistment office, threatening him with a weapon. The soldier punched and kicked the victim on the body and face. The corresponding video appeared on the Web on the same day.

The SBI launched an investigation into the incident by opening criminal proceedings. Employees of the bureau are at the scene and continue to investigate all the circumstances of the incident.

"It has been established that the defendants have been holding the victim in the premises of the military enlistment office since September 12, 2023. ", – noted in the SBI.

The issue of notifying the defendants of suspicion of illegal deprivation of liberty, torture and abuse of office by a military person is currently being resolved.

Recall that on September 19, a video appeared on the Web in which a soldier with a pistol in his hands brutally beats a man in the TCC and SP of Sambir in the Lviv region. The attacker threatened the man with physical violence. declaring that "no one will find you and will not look for you."
