President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said that during the day of the special operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, all the goals were achieved.

This is stated in his statement.

According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan has now restored its territorial integrity.

Aliyev assured that his country "would have gone to the end" if the illegal armed groups in Karabakh had not laid down their arms, and the Armenian government had demonstrated political competence in the situation regarding Karabakh.

"Our military showed heroism, professionalism and in a short time achieved significant military successes in all directions. A significant part of the army, which was illegally stationed by the Armenian state in the Azerbaijani territories and has not yet been withdrawn, despite the obligations of Armenia, was completely destroyed. Military equipment was destroyed and disabled," Aliyev said.

It should be added that the EU insists on a meaningful dialogue between Baku and Karabakh after Azerbaijan's statement on the termination of the military operation in Karabakh warned Baku against expelling the local population from the region.
