Russian army is holding the line in the area of Novoprokopivka-Verbove-Ocheretaty, using units that were transferred from the east. However, when these units are destroyed or weakened, it will be difficult for them to continue on the defensive.

This was stated by the military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Oleksandr Kovalenko.

"The Bermuda Triangle and even the black hole Chornobaivka are childish babble compared to the Zaporizhzhya triangle Novoprokopivka-Verbove-Ocheretuvate. If it seems to you that something has slowed down there, then you are mistaken.

As Kovalenko explained, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed a breakthrough of the first line of defense in this area in early June 2023, very quickly the command of the Russian Federation began to send reserves from the second line of defense to strengthen the defense of the supply zone.

"In fact, these reserves remained there. In black soil," he added.

When the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed operations in the second line of defense to expand the bridgehead, creating conditions for a breakthrough, the command of the enemy army began to draw forces and funds from other bridgeheads and areas of responsibility to the Zaporizhzhia region, the area of responsibility of the "East" group of troops.

"The most striking example is the transfer of units of the 76th Airborne Assault Division and the 7th Airborne Assault Division, in particular the 234th and 237th Airborne Regiments, from the Luhansk region, the area of responsibility of the West Assault Forces and the Center Main Forces. They were transferred here about two weeks ago. The SOU stopped and... And they swallowed these units," Kovalenko said.

In two weeks, not only the offensive, but the defensive potential of the enemy's combat-ready forces deployed hundreds of kilometers away was destroyed.

"The fresh meat was chewed and swallowed without even choking. Now we can move on," Kovalenko added.

Meanwhile, another military observer explained why it is especially important now to cut off the enemy from logistics.

Cutting the Andriivka-Kurdyumivka-Klishchiivka line is a priority task for Ukrainian defenders in the Bakhmut area, military observer Denys Popovych believes.
