Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Ukraine's attacks on the territory of Russia. He stressed that Ukrainian forces do not use partners' weapons to strike at the terrorist country.
The head of state said this in an interview with the CBS.
"We use our partners' weapons only on the territory of Ukraine. There are some operations that Ukraine conducts in response to certain operations on the part of the Russian Federation. But not punitive operations, as they do, killing civilians. But Russia must know that if a missile flies at Ukraine from this or that place, wherever it is, then Ukraine has all the moral rights to respond to this place," he said.
Zelenskyy explained that by conducting operations on the territory of the Russian Federation, Ukraine is trying to show Russian society where their money goes, since their authorities cannot even protect them.
"With some of our operations, we show the society of the Russian Federation - pay attention, all your talk, all your money, all your millions and billions that you gave for the militarization of your state - all this does not work as well as you think. You will not remain calm if you destroy the civilian population. We answer them - your sky is not as closed as you think, some of your institutions are not so safe. And now there are no threats. We do not shoot, kill or hunt civilians - not even the civilian population of Russia, which is our enemy," he said.
