There has been an exchange of prisoners between Iran and the United States.

The EPA reports that the news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) has leaked information about the case, citing its sources.

The report notes that a Qatar-owned plane carrying five American prisoners released during an exchange between the U.S. and Iran took off from Tehran airport and headed for Doha.

Two of the five Iranian prisoners released in the US during the dispute, Mehrdad Moeen Ansari and Reza Sarhangpur, have traveled to Doha, the capital of Qatar.

Along with those individuals, three other Iranian prisoners imprisoned in the U.S. have been released.
