On September 18, the Ukrainian military repelled 26 enemy attacks in the Tavriya direction of the Donetsk region, inflicting a powerful retaliatory blow on the invaders.
As a result of the clashes, the number of enemy executions amounted to 313 personnel, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of troops, said on his Telegram channel.
He stated that the Russians lost 135 dead and 177 wounded in one day, and another occupier surrendered.
"Also, 31 units of enemy military equipment were destroyed. In particular, 2 armored personnel carriers, four artillery systems and mortars, an air defense system, an ATGM, 13 UAVs, 8 units of automotive equipment and two units of special equipment," the statement said.
In addition, Tarnavskyi said that the invaders lost two ammunition depots and another important object in their positions.
Earlier, it was reported that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, admits that progress in the counteroffensive is slow, but assures that Ukrainian troops are advancing.
