An unknown group of people wants to stage a provocation in Georgia in October-December, which will be aimed at destabilizing and disturbing. The ultimate goal is to change power by violent means.

This was reported with reference to the State Security Service of the country, writes the portal "Georgia Online".

As it became known, the Georgian secret service believes that one of the authors of the plan is the Deputy Former Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, and now the Deputy Head of Military Intelligence of Ukraine Giorgi Lortkipanidze.

The special services also believe that persons of Georgian origin who are subordinate to Lortkipanidze, in particular a former member of the security of the third president of Georgia, Mikhail Baturin, and a member of Mikheil Saakashvili's inner circle, the commander of the Georgian Legion, Mamuka Mamulashvili, may be involved.

Interestingly, an unknown group chose October-December to start the probable "coup" - it is at this time that the interim report of the European Commission and the final report of the EU are to be published.

"The organizers are considering the possibility of implementing in Georgia a scenario similar to the Ukrainian Euromaidan in 2014," the Georgian special service said.

In addition, this "plan" will allegedly be financed and coordinated by some foreign countries. It should be noted that Georgia does not join Western sanctions against Russia, and has also resumed direct flights with the Russian Federation.
