The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated the commander of one of the most elite military units in Russia, the 31st Air Assault Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel Andrei Kondrashkin (call sign "Danube"). The occupiers from the 31st Air Assault Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces took part in the seizure of Crimea and the occupation of Donbas back in 2014. They are also fighting against Ukraine now in the hottest spots.

This was reported by InformNapalm.

According to InformNapalm, paratroopers of the 31st Air Assault Brigade (military unit 73612) have been actively involved in the seizure of Crimea and the war in Donbas since 2014.

In 2022, the invaders from this brigade tried to occupy the Kyiv region. They were probably stationed in the settlements of Katyuzhanka, Dymer, Borodyanka, Hostomel, Bucha, and Irpin.

Ukrainian journalist Yuri Butusov noted that the 31st Air Assault Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces fought in the hottest spots of the war. Now she took part in the battles for the village of Andriivka, near Andriivka.

"Specifically, Kondrashkin carried out the task of repelling the attacks of the 3rd Assault Brigade and its attached units south of the village of Andriivka, in order to prevent the envelopment of the remnants of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Brigade, which our soldiers were finishing off in the village itself. However, Kondrashkin was unable to complete the task, a number of strongholds of the 31st Airborne Assault Brigade were completely destroyed, and in particular, through the Kondrashkin defense sector, Ukrainian attack aircraft entered the village. The circumstances of how exactly Kondrashkin was killed during these battles are not yet known," he said.

As noted, the war criminal Kondrashkin was probably killed during the strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Russian rear.

As previously reported, the GUR fighter said that during the fighting in Hostomel, the Russian Federation lost 200 elite specialists in the capture of airports.
