Ukraine will receive a new aid package from Finland. The government should approve it at the end of the week.

This was stated by Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orlo, Evropeyska Pravda reports.

According to Orpo, this package is the same in volume as the previous ones. He stressed that Finland is one of the largest donors of Ukraine, given the size of the country.

"There are things that are really needed: heavy weapons and ammunition," the prime minister said.

The Ukrainian president reacted to the statement of the Prime Minister of Finland. Zelensky thanked the country for the assistance already provided and said that a new aid package would be really necessary.

Orpo also compared the ongoing war against Ukraine to Finland's winter war.

"Finland fought, just as Ukraine is fighting now," the Finnish prime minister said.

We will remind, in Kiev on August 23 arrived Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo. He met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The parties talked about defense and security cooperation.
