On August 12, servicemen of the State Border Guard Service with the support of the Main Intelligence Directorate installed a border sign on Snake Island in the Black Sea. The previous border sign was destroyed by the Russian occupiers.

"Yesterday, servicemen of the Izmail detachment with the support of the Defence Intelligence landed on Snake Island and installed a new border sign on it. The previous one was destroyed by the invaders during the occupation of the island," the SBGS said.

The border guards stressed that the next sign will be installed in the liberated Crimea.
To recap, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov told how the liberation of Snake Island from the invaders took place in June 2022.
