A review of a number of historical monuments on the central streets of Baku has been reversed and measures have been taken.
The EPA has been informed by the Ministry of Culture.
It has been reported that painting has been carried out on the façade of a local architectural monument number 3 at 3233 Sheikh Shamil Street in Sabail District.
The fact of the intervention was immediately reversed by colleagues of the Baku Regional Administration of the State Service for the Protection, Development and Bureau of Cultural Heritage with the Ministry of Culture. The color of Abidjan's façade was cleared, and the historical building was restored to its original appearance.
At the same time, illegal billboards have been removed from a number of historical monuments on the streets of the capital, Bunyad Sardarov, Joseph Mammadaliyev, and Gogol.
It has been noted that Article 10 of the Republic of Azerbaijan's Law on the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments prohibits the modification, destruction, and maintenance, construction, agriculture, and other activities that could threaten monuments.
Violations of the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan result in criminal, administrative, judicial, and civil liability in accordance with the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
