An explosion rocked an optical-mechanical factory in the city of Sergiev Posad, 50 kilometers northeast of Moscow, TASS reported. At least 16 people were injured and were given medical care. The blast wave shattered windows of several houses in different parts of the city. Local authorities confirmed the incident at a warehouse with pyrotechnic products.
