Two youths and an elderly man were killed in two separate railway crashes in Serbia in which a train hit cars on the railway, Serbian public broadcaster RTS reported.
An 18-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were killed and a 17-year-old girl was injured late last night in an accident at a railway crossing between Varčin and Lipe near the capital Belgrade, which is secured by road signs. The car, in which the three young men were located, was passing through the crossing when a freight train passed and hit the right side of the vehicle.
Just a few hours later, this morning, a 60-year-old man was killed who was passing by a small truck through the railway line in the village of Popucke between Belgrade and Bar, near Valjevo, western Serbia.

The second case is still under investigation, while the Serbian railway company is urging car drivers to be careful when crossing railroad crossings and monitor road signs to avoid such accidents and save lives.
