In 2022, 15 students committed suicide in Kota.
Quota:Another case of suicide of a student has come to light in Kota, Rajasthan. Today again a coaching student has committed suicide in Kota. The latest case of suicide is from Rajiv Nagar Hostel in Jawahar Nagar police station area. The student who committed suicide has been identified as 17-year-old Pushpendra, a resident of Jalore, who had come to Kota seven days ago. It is being told that Pushpendra Singh had taken admission in coaching to prepare for NEET. At present, the police have not found any suicide note from the spot. Jawahar Nagar police station is investigating the case.
ASI Prem Prakash of Jawahar Nagar police station said that Pushpendra had come to Kota a week ago to prepare for NEET. Today he has committed suicide. This is the 16th case of student suicide in Kota this year. This is a worrying situation that is worrying from public representatives to the police and the administration.
Year-on-year suicide cases in Kota
- So far in 2023, 16 students have committed suicide.
- In 2022, 15 students committed suicide in Kota.
- In 2021, 9 students who came to Kota for coaching committed suicide.
- During the year 2019-2020, due to the Corona epidemic, the students in the city were very low.
- In 2018, 12 students committed suicide.
- In 2017, 10 students committed suicide in Corta.
Pushpendra's family members have raised a big question in the case of suicide of students in Kota. "We are asking people why this is happening in Kota. Children come here happily from home, children have come here on their own will. This child happily spoke to his parents, then why did he do so? Why is this happening? Our child has come here, 7 days ago there was no torture, there was no tension. He was still in Class 11."
One incident after another of suicide of students is coming to light in Kota. Just 10 days ago, a coaching student committed suicide by hanging himself in Mahavir Nagar area of Kota. The student hailed from Uttar Pradesh and had come to Kota for IIT coaching. According to Mahavir Nagar police station, the student, a resident of Faizullanagar, Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, had come to Kota two months ago and was preparing for IIT from a coaching institute in Kota.
