The gas price for the population will not be raised at least until the first of May 2024. Naftogaz has extended the Fixed tariff for the next heating season. Therefore, one cubic meter of blue fuel for household consumers will continue to cost UAH 7 96 kopecks.
This is stated in the story TSN.
The price of gas will continue in the new heating season
At least for the next heating season, gas tariffs for the population will not be raised. The Naftogaz group of companies, which provides energy to 12 and a half million households, has maintained the "Fixed" tariff - just under eight hryvnias per cubic meter of gas.
"I want to reassure all Ukrainians. " Naftogaz does not plan to increase the price of gas for the population this heating season, next winter. Therefore, Ukrainians can be sure that their payments will not grow," says Naftogaz CEO Oleksii Chernyshov.
Local authorities support the decision of Naftogaz
Naftogaz's decision not to raise the gas price is also welcomed by Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych. The mayor of the city, which has been significantly affected by Russian attacks, notes that such a step will support not only Ukrainians who have remained in the country, but also those who have temporarily left.
"It is especially difficult for those people who are abroad, in fact, they need to pay for real estate abroad, as well as pay for heating in apartments in which they temporarily do not live," says Oleksandr Senkevych.
Naftogaz urges Ukrainians to pay for services provided on time
The Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz notes that this company is an important taxpayer to the state budget, and therefore regular payment for gas and heating is a direct assistance to the state during the war.
Naftogaz performs another function, it is a huge enterprise that pays taxes and these taxes are necessary for the state, necessary for the state budget, so these things are interconnected, I am sure that our consumers are responsible and will treat this," said the Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz.
We need to work on energy efficiency
Kyiv residents interviewed by TSN assure that they regularly pay for collar. And Naftogaz reminds that whatever gas tariffs are, it is worth constantly working on energy efficiency - in particular, to insulate houses.
"Our approach is that cities will consume 10% less each year than the previous year to stimulate energy-efficient measures," Oleksii Chernyshov emphasizes.
During the war, gas will not rise in price - the company assures, but even after Ukraine's victory, the issue of pricing will be treated in such a way as not to inflict a financial blow on Ukrainians.
To recap, the Ministry of Energy is preparing for a difficult heating season, given that nothing has changed in the tactics of the Russian army, which destroys Ukraine's energy infrastructure with missile strikes.
