The Ukrainian Armed Forces have had partial successes in the area of Klishchiivka, Bakhmut district, while the occupiers are trying to push Ukrainian forces out of positions west of Karmazynivka in the Luhansk region.
This was announced by Speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev on the air of the telethon "United News" on July 7.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive in the Melitopol, Bakhmut and Berdyansk directions.
"(The Armed Forces – ed.) fixed on the lines reached, inflict artillery fire on the identified enemy targets. They carry out counterbattery measures," Kovalev said.
The enemy is resisting at the same time. The occupiers are moving units and troops, actively using reserves.
The situation in the Bakhmut direction
The defense forces in the Bakhmut direction continue counteroffensive operations and advance on the northern and southern flanks near Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders put pressure on the enemy and knock him out of the previously captured borders.
In the area of Klishchiivka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have partial success and are consolidated on the lines reached. However, heavy fighting continues there. At the same time, Russian propaganda disperses panic that the fighters are allegedly forced to retreat.
Ukrainian troops also continue to hold back the offensive of the occupiers in the Liman, Avdiivka and Mariinsky directions.
The situation in the Liman direction
During the previous day, Russian troops, with the support of aviation in the Lyman direction, tried to force Ukrainian fighters from positions west of Karmazynivka in the Luhansk region. However, enemy attempts were unsuccessful.
What is happening in the Avdiivka direction
The Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Avdiivka direction continue to deter the enemy offensive near Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region. The invaders staged air strikes in the area of Novokalynove and Avdiivka.
Maryinsky direction
In the Maryinsky sector, the enemy conducted artillery shelling. Our defense forces repelled all Russian attacks in the Marinka area. The invaders launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka. Heavy fighting continues there.
What else is happening on the fronts
In the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was reported that the main forces of the Russian troops were concentrated on offensives in the Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Mariinsky directions. Ukrainian troops are holding back the enemy there. At the same time, the invaders in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions are trying to prevent the advance of Ukrainian troops and are shelling.
According to OK "South", in their area of responsibility, Russian troops are trying to put maximum pressure on the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but on the night of July 7, the Defense Forces of Ukraine worked very hard - both attacking and defending.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Russian troops in Bakhmut are actually trapped. They control most of the city, but cannot move around it, because the enemy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not allow it to do so.
Note, according to British intelligence, Russia is amassing units from all over the country to the front to deter the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
