Ukraine will be able to join NATO according to the scenario of Finland and Sweden, which join Alyans without a Membership Action Plan (MAP).
The corresponding statement was made by British Foreign Minister James Cleverly to the newspaper La Repubblica.
He noted that it is currently unknown when this will happen, as it is difficult to predict when the war between Russia and Ukraine will end.
"I believe that Ukraine can do this without the usual red tape, as happened with Sweden and Finland," he said.
He also added that the army in Kyiv now has experience in supplying weapons and training according to NATO standards," Cleverly said.
Former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski said that Ukraine's accession to NATO in today's conditions would mean the beginning of the Third World War.
The day before, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Ukraine's accession to NATO is possible after fulfilling an indispensable condition - the resolution of all territorial disputes.
