In the Maryinsky sector in Donetsk region, Russian occupation forces used chemical munitions against the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the occupiers did not take into account the direction of the wind that blew in their own direction.

This was announced by the speaker of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction Valerii Shershen on the air of a telethon on Sunday, June 25.

"The fact of dropping on one of the positions of a prohibited chemical munition - aerosol, suffocating - was recorded. The wind was towards the enemy," he said.

Valeriy Shershen added that during the day in the Maryinsky sector there were 13 clashes during the attempts of Russian units to attack the positions of the Defense Forces.

The enemy carried out more than 440 attacks from tanks, multiple launch rocket systems and barrel artillery.

The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobeda, Heorhiivka, Kurakhove and Oleksiivka were under artillery shelling.

Recall that the night of June 24 from near Marinka, Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces of Ukraine are confronting the Russian invaders, units of the Chechen battalion "Akhmat-Vostok" tried to quietly retreat.
