Denmark will train Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets, even providing access to its air base.

This was stated by acting Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen in an interview with TV2, Ukrinform writes.

According to him, Denmark, together with the Netherlands, has developed a plan for training Ukrainian servicemen on F-16 fighters. Troels Lund Poulsen also added that he hoped for the support of other countries that would help her present a more specific exercise plan.

"The plan developed jointly with the Netherlands provides for training Ukrainians on F-16s at the Danish air force base Skrudstrup in Southern Jutland, where Danish fighters of this class are based," he said.

The acting Minister of Defense said that the training of Ukrainian pilots is likely to begin after the summer holidays. At the same time, how many pilots the country will be able to accept, Poulsen did not specify.

We will remind that earlier it was reported that the spokesman of the Air Force of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat said that Ukraine will receive from Western partners F-16 fighters, but when this will happen — the question remains open.

It should be noted that Ukraine can receive from Western partners not only F-16 fighters, but also F-18 fighters. We are talking about dozens of units of aircraft.
